Insurance
Put AI agents to work in claims and underwriting, with every action checked against applicable authorities before money moves.
Being adapted from our banking implementation.
An AI agent proposes paying a $48,000 claim.
Before any money moves, Cathedral checks it against every applicable authority: the adjuster’s payment authority, the carrier’s claims policy, the state’s claims-handling rules, and fraud and sanctions screening.
Within authority, the payment proceeds.
Above it, it goes to the person who holds that authority, with the rule and the reason in front of them.
If a required check fails, it stops.
Every state’s rules, applied automatically
Claims rules differ from state to state. Cathedral treats each state’s requirements as its own authority, so a claim in one state and a claim in another are each checked against the rules that apply.
What your regulators and auditors get
Every decision records the rule, the authority, and the reason, in a tamper-evident record that shows how a payment, denial, or referral was made, and that the person who approved it was entitled to.
Built for how insurers already work
Claims already move through intake, coverage, adjusting, and payment, with separation of duties between them. Cathedral governs the steps you already have.
Status: the same architecture as our banking implementation, being adapted for claims.
